A 13 year old boy was reported missing yesterday. Martinez Police Department called CERT for help with search and rescue. We responded quickly: 10 volunteers showed up with flashlights and safety gear to start the search. As we were gathering, we learned that the boy was located by Police in a different East Bay city several miles away, that he was fine, and would be returned home safely. Thanks CERT volunteers!

The California Public Utilities Commission worked with CAL FIRE and others to develop a Fire-Threat Map of California. The map shows places with a high risk of wildfires that could put people and property in danger.
