Basic CERT Training

CERT Basic Training is 20 hours, and is offered in Martinez on Tuesday evenings or Saturday mornings. Feel free to bring your own lunch, snacks and water.

We give you a training notebook during the first class. You can also find the entire CERT Training Manual online.

At the conclusion of the classes we offer a Training Review that covers medical triage and emergency medical, search and rescue with cribbing, and fire suppression.

If you wish to be sworn in as an official Martinez Disaster Service Worker (even if you were trained somewhere else), you’ll need to attend the Practical Disaster Exercise on Saturday October 26 from 7 am to 2 pm, location TBD.
