The holidays present their own special risks and it is still fire season?
Yes, California is at peak fire risk. According to CalOES, some of the largest, deadliest and most destructive fires have occurred during the fall months in recent history. Be prepared all year, including the cooler months.

- Create an emergency plan for your household, including your pets.
- Pack go-bags with essential items such as important documents, cash and medications. You wouldn’t leave without you pets – they need Go Bags too!
- Be aware of the evacuation routes out of your neighborhood and plan ahead.
- Check in on friends and neighbors to ensure your whole community is prepared.
