Do you have the skills to survive an emergency?
During a major disaster, First Responders will be overwhelmed. Do you have the skills you need to fend for yourself for a few hours? A few days? A week?
If you want to survive the next fire, earthquake, or flood, you’ll need to take steps to minimize the harm that these natural disasters will cause. Our free Basic Training Program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area.
This nationally recognized program offers a positive and realistic approach to responding to emergency situations such as electrical, gas, and water emergencies in the home, small fire suppression, basic first aid, how to control bleeding, and searching for survivors safely.
You may participate in the entire basic training or take only the classes that are important to you.
