Earthquake Hazard Mitigation “EQHM”

In this practical two hour class, you will learn how to safely secure home or workplace for an earthquake. Securing common items like televisions, computers, bookcases, appliances, and furniture may prevent serious injuries, costly damage, and even death. Read more about this class here. Class date is Sat. July 19, 9am-11am at The Martinez Senior Center.

Wildfire Preparedness “WFP”

We will review how to determine your fire hazard risk, types of fire hazard exposure, the elements of defensible space and evacuation readiness. Read more about this class here. Class date Sat. July 22, 9am-11am at The Martinez Senior Center

2025 Fall Basic Training

Our Fall Basic Training classes start August 27. Classes are held Wednesday evenings, August 27, September 2, 10, 17, 25, and October 1, 8, 15, 22, 6pm-9:30pm, at the Martinez Senior Center, 818 Green St, Martinez. Classes will conclude with drills: Basic Radio Skills,Sat. October 25, the Practice Drill Sat. Nov. 1, and CERT Final Disaster Drill Exercise Sat. Nov 8. You may participate in the entire basic training or take only the classes that are important to you. If you are interested in attending our next series let us know!
