Our two-day Critical Incident Stress Management class was great. We learned a set of procedures that can help de-stress the first responders in emergency or disaster situations. As always, the first step is to observe and listen to what’s going on. This is called “developing situational awareness.” We hope to be using these tools and techniques with others in the future.
