2022 MRC/MEF Run For Education

CERT participated in the 20th Annual MEF Run in downtown Martinez with traffic and crowd control. The race had over 600 entrants and gathered, including a generous donation from The Martinez Refining Company, close to $100,000.

What a successful event. You folks truly made the difference in keeping our runners and all the downtown safe.

It was a wonderful day for the 5k run and the CERT volunteers all had a great time helping out at this popular event. Taco Daddy’s supplied over 600 burritos for runners and volunteers! It is wonderful to see this terrific community work together.

The California Public Utilities Commission worked with CAL FIRE and others to develop a Fire-Threat Map of California. The map shows places with a high risk of wildfires that could put people and property in danger. Additionally, PG&E has introduced an app that allows the public to report non-emergency safety concerns in high risks areas related to PG&E electrical equipment. Visit PG&E's Report It.
