Moulage demonstration

LAMORINDA CERT was our featured guest speaker at our most recent all hands meeting. Julie Sparks provided an interesting and fun demo of Moulage. Moulage is the art of applying mock injuries for the purpose of training emergency response teams and other medical personnel. Moulage may be as simple as applying pre-made “wounds” to a volunteer or as complex as using makeup and theatre techniques to provide elements of realism (such as blood, vomit, compound fractures, etc. to the volunteers. The fake injuries allow volunteers to train how to properly dress difficult and different wounds.
