New Lunch & Learn Events

We’ve organized a set of topics for your lunchtime learning, in which we share helpful little tidbits from our vast CERT basic training. Bring your own lunch to our Tuesday gatherings at noon on Zoom.

This series starts on February 9 with Documenting Disaster. When a big disaster strikes, people often want to help. A very important consideration is maintaining safety of those helpers. Martinez and many other communities offer a free Community Emergency Preparedness Team (CERT) training course that teaches how to prepare and assist trained responders in an emergency or disaster. But what if you haven’t done the training—can you still help? This first talk in our Lunch & Learn series will explain how you can aid our efforts in a safe and easy way.
